E-rank - Academy student level: E Rank Jutsu are learned by Academy Students which are the basic and most fundamental Jutsu for all graduating ninja. (e.g. Clone Technique & Transformation Technique)
D-rank - Genin level: D Rank Jutsu Genin level technique and can be achieved by all Genin, though a many ninja only learn their "type" of technique. (e.g. Earth Release: Inner Decapitation Technique)
C-rank - Chunin level: C Rank Jutsu are base on Chunin level technique though some Genin can perform this and some Chunin cannot. (e.g. Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu)
B-rank - Jonin level: B Rank: B Rank Jutsu are Jonin level technique but Naruto can also perform this technique, emphasizing his determination and high chakra levels. (e.g. Shadow Clone Technique)
A-rank - Kage level or Jonin level: A Rank Jutsu are Elite Jonin level and up, even including some Forbidden Technique. Some Elite Jonin and Missing Ninja will create their own technique as their "Trump Card" or even forbidden one.
S-rank - Secret, extreme level: S Rank are Secret, forbidden high class level technique. Tecniques of this rank are mostly known to only 1 or 2 ninja.

Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.

Mizu no Muchi is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a whip. The ninja can also send an electric current through the whip to electrocute their opponent. The whip will function in the normal fashion, such as allowing the ninja to whip the crap out of little kids.

Mizu no Tatsumaki is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a spinning water vortex around the ninja. The water acts both as a barrier and attack mechanism. The power of the vortex is enough to knock an opponent unconscious.

Taikigakure Ryuu: Mizukuri no Yaiba (Hidden Waterfall Style: Sword of Draining) is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like a normal blade.

This jutsu envelops the surrounding area in a dense mist, reducing visibility within the affected area. The density can be controlled by the user, allowing them to create a mist so thick that even they can't see through it.

The Water Clone Technique is similar to the Shadow Clone Technique except it creats clones out of water. Like the other solid clone techniques, the clones can be used to preform tasks the user is unable or unwilling to do for themselves. The range of the clone is limited however, it can not travel very far from the original body. Like other clone techniques, if the water clones are injured enough they will revert back to normal water.

As the name suggests, this technique is simply a very quiet method of killing an opponent, usually from behind with a blade. Additionally, because the user is very silent, it cannot be defended against. The user will often slit their opponent's throat, preventing any cry that might give them away. Zabuza was a master of this technique, and was even good enough to track and kill opponents through sound alone.

This jutsu is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. Clones can be used in place of the actual person, provided that the clone is the one that performed the technique. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. Neji Hyuga has been able to use his ability to release chakra from all of his pressure points to disrupt the flow of chakra inside the prison and break free. Despite the fact that the prison is made up entirely out of water, and the target is unable to move while within it, the target is still able to breathe and speak.

Suiton • Suijinheki is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. The ninja will first do a string of hand seals and then proceed to blow out a jet of water from their mouth to act as a water barrier from incoming attack.

Water Release: Water Shark Missile Technique is a technique that forces water to attack the opponent in the form of a shark.

Water Release: Water Dragon Blast Technique is a technique that creates a serpentine dragon to attack the opponent. While a very powerful technique, it requires the most handsigns seen in the series, 44 different handsigns. Another drawback to the technique is it requires the user to be near a large body of water to complete the technique. However, the Second Hokage was able to produce one far from water, which was a testament to his skill and part of the reason why he was selected as hokage. Although Hatake Kakashi copied this move with his Sharingan, it would be improper to consider him a "user" of this jutsu; given that he has copied over a thousand techniques, he probably never used this technique outside of his first fight with Zabuza.

Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique is a technique that forms a strong column of water to attack the oppoenent. Due to the force of the water the target will be fully enveloped by the water and at its mercy as it pulls them away. Kakashi Hatake copied this technique with his Sharingan during his first fight with Zabuza Momochi.

Suiton • Suishouha is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. Nidaime Hokage does a string of hand seals which then causes a large volume of water to materialize out of nowhere. The water can then be directed at his target.
