Clarification guide.

Alright, guys, in all my fanfics and crossovers, I use many terms that may be unfamiliar to frivolous anime fans, and have some vocabulary that can be easily understood by others while utterly confounding to others. So I’ll try to clarify.

Mana/Prana/Chakra/Magic/Reiatsu/spirit particle concentration: These are all ways of saying Chakra. The only outlier is Alchemy, which only uses a bit of bodily activation energy. All other power, both in Renkin and Rentan Alchemy, uses the earth’s own energy. The Quincy can do the same, using chakra that is not hteir own that is scattered in the air and focus it into an object.

Magic Circuits—Magic Circuit is the European term for Chakra openings. Basically, sealing or damaging a chakra circuit is like damaging your chakra system. Basically, it regulates the flow of Chakra/Prana. A Holy Grail Servant taps into your magic circuits, siphoning a portion.

Deathstone: The only known appearance of Deathstone is in Bleach, in the walls of Seireitei. Any Spirit body who touches this automatically loses the portion that touches. Therefore, it is also very good against Hollow and Shinigami.

Spirit Body-Physical Body differences: Many people tend to contest the power of Deathstone. This is the seperation. A regular human is a soul that requires a body for sustenance. As soon as the body is destroyed the soul must also be sent to Soul Society. It doesn’t work the other way around—such as in the case of one having his/her soul sucked out (I.E. Yu-Gi-Oh, Dementor’s Kiss in Harry Potter), the body will still exist. That is a material body. A spiritual body is a body that relies on a soul for sustenance, similar to a gigai. Even if the body is destroyed, the soul still remains—and if the soul leaves a gigai, the gigai is destroyed. This, thus, puts angels and shinigami in the category of a “Spiritual Organism”. Only Spiritual Organisms are vulnerable to Deathstone.

Magus: The Magus actually encompass a broad amount of people, and actually linked only by their common use of recitation spells. Here are some types.

-Numerologist: One who uses mathmatics in magic. Users can use abilities such as Square and Overclock, which doubles the power of abilities and attacks. Masters have limited future sight in their abilitiy to forecast the probability of the opponent doing something happening.

-Dowser: One who tracks spiritual pressure. The items of choice are bent metal rods, but pendulums, compasses and others are not unusual. They can track Reiatsu regardless of how well you hided, provided they know it. They are actually rather weak in combat.

-Crystal Magus: Crystals are powerful amplifiers of chakra, and so crystal Magus can seal spells in crystals for use at later times at almost no chakra cost, or simiply to overlaod a crystal with chakra to serve as a bomb. These magus are usually found in the Tohsaka Faily.

-Kaleidescope Magus: The most difficult magus to learn, Kaleidescope, founded by Wizard Marshall Zelretch, is the study of alternate realities—even spanning through worlds. It is only through Kaleidescope that inter-world travel can be done. Masters can literally enfold other people’s attacks into a dimension and then crush the dimension, destroying the attack instantly. Its two most powerful weaposn are the Jeweled Sword of Zelretch and the Kaleidostick, both of which are in the possession of Jan.

Assisted Magic and True Magic: Most Jutsu can be used by even low-level genin because it is assisted magic—the mix of Science and a small amount of true magic to make attacks. For example, grand fireball absorbs Hydrogen and Methane, literally swelling the body (the reason Sasuke looks so fat before he spits it and why he hovers a little—Hydrogen is lighter than air) and then ignites it as it comes out. True Magic, used in extremely High-level Jutsu and in high-elvel magecraft, is the stuff of miracles—the ability to create something from nothing, violating the rules of reality. This requires large amounts of concentration and chakra, but, unlike simply creating a small spark to ignite hydrogen, creates a whole flame by its own, therefore creating a more-powerful, if more volatile copy. True magic can do things regular Jutsu can only hope to do.

The two timelines—Ash’s site’s Timeline and Kon’s site’s Timeline: Both of these are based on two different Jan Hakura. Kon’s site is based on Jan Hakura after he dies in a war wit hGlacier in the wake of his wife Ayame’s death, and that is the Jan Hakura you know. Ash’s site is an alternate universe, in the fact that Jan Hakura does not die and actually lives, thus altering the storyline. In Kon’s site, Jan and Arashi help assist in the war against the Arrancar and secure the Holy Grail, and Jan’s rank as one of the leaderso f the Quincy Allow peace. Since Jan never died in Ash’s site, Jan Hakura I becomes the head of the Hakura Clan, and actually helps the Quincy in defeating Soul Society. Unstopped, the Holy Grail detonates, the kaleidescope enchantments running amok and even further changing the storyline. Instead of the Magus Association finding the Naurto World first, it is the Holy Church to do this, resulting in a firmer grip of the Naruto world by the church, instead of by the Magus Association. In Kon’s site, Jan Hakura’s Shinigami blood allows him to live 400 years. In Ash’s site, he dies and forms the Hakura Noble House and the Order of St. Justica, a dynasty that eventually leads to Jan Hakura IV, the one now.
